‘Who killed Daphne?’ debate in London

A documentary focusing on the motives behind the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia will be screened later this month at the Frontline Club in London, followed by a debate that will include the participation of The Shift News.

Produced by Italian investigative journalists Carlo Bonini and Giuliano Foschini from La Repubblica, the in-depth documentary includes witness accounts and testimonials to tell the story of who Caruana Galizia was and the stories she was investigating, while looking into the reasons behind her murder.

The documentary will be aired as part of a discussion, which will be chaired by Rebecca Vincent, UK Bureau for Reporters Without Borders (RSF).

Caroline Muscat, co-founder of The Shift News, and Bonini will be the two speakers on the panel.

Written by Diana Ligorio and Emilio Fabio Torsello, the documentary looks into the motives behind her murder, the stories she was working on and it includes interviews with international figures, family and friends.

The documentary was first screened last year at the International Journalism Festival in Perugia.

The screening and panel discussion will take place on 29 August. For more information, click here.
