MEPs have called for European legislation that would curtail abusive legal SLAPP practices, such as the threat of legal action in the UK and the US by Henley and Partners on The Shift. Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has so far failed to defend national media organisations against such threats from international firms closely linked to the government.
