Marisa Attard
Marisa Attard is an artist and illustrator who studied art under Esprit Barthet, Harry Alden and Anton Calleja. She has illustrated numerous books and has been awarded the Premju Nazzjonali tal-Ktieb for Best Illustrator of Children’s books, twice. Marisa is a keen observer of people and her range of subjects can be both serious and dark, or humorous, quirky and endearing. Through her art, she expresses her views on how she sees people, society and politics – the good, the bad and the ugly. Her social commentary can be subtle or hidden but often it is sharp and bold. She discovered the freedom of combining her illustrative style of pen, ink and watercolour to works in acrylic and collage which show her preference for bright colours applied in layers with added collage and found objects to help create texture and depth. Johan Siggesson
Johan is a wildlife photographer from Sweden residing in Malta. From an early age he was passionate about animals and the natural world. Before Animal Planet, Nat Geo Wild and the likes, he was always glued in front of the weekly nature programme on Swedish state television. No matter if it was lions in Africa, wolves in Yellowstone or Polar bears in Svalbard, Johan practically grew up with Sir David Attenborough’s voice at the back of his head. From the moment he bought his first digital camera, he was hooked. The creativity that is unleashed with instant feedback on the screen, variable ISO and more or less unlimited image capacity is something that really appeals to him. This, combined with a passion for animals, is a recipe for a wildlife photographer. Website

Anna Anastasi
Embarking on her artistic journey about a decade ago with a humble beginner’s art set gifted to her for Christmas, Anna Anastasi (re)discovered a profound passion for the world of art. Acrylic paint quickly became her favoured medium, allowing her to weave vivid and bold colours into a slightly quirky style that emphasizes reflections. Anna’s artistic technique is a mirror of her eclectic personality, where she embraces imperfections as a form of beauty; and her paintings are a hotchpotch of ideas she gets from her travels, with most depicting the sea. This particular piece unfolded from a recent trip to the enchanting Burano in Venice. Facebook
